This is the first time I have accessed the Herald- Republic online. I heard by word of mouth, one of my friends had died. I wondered how I could have missed this in the paper. Your transition-new, won't allow me to search for this recent obituary. Not a very good example for a first time user.

I am glad the Yakima Herald is making this update, but I am currently concerned with the process.
How long does it take to make this transition?
I am currently living in Southwest Colorado and get local news about the Yakima area through this resource and the same message is still up from a couple of weeks ago.
thanks for all you are doing, but maybe this transition could be done in a timely manner.

I hope this fee is not included due to the inconvenience when someone is searching for an article that is backdated over a week. When is the search going to be running again????
