A few more bugs fixed. New pieces to the puzzle.

For anyone who read my post about bug fixing shortly after launching the new navigation bar; Scott has eliminated several javascript errors. So far it looks like they have been eliminated, but I would not be surprised that one of our readers is getting some errors. Errors are an expectation with Web sites that change/grow/expand as often as yakimaherald.com.

We want you - to contact us! I truly encourage our readers to contact us about the things that do not work, are a bit off, or hopefully - how we have helped you learn more about what is going on in your community.

All too often us Web guys are working on this or that, trying to get something built, better, or just fixed… that we stop and wonder what people are thinking about all of the work being done on yakimaherald.com. Good or bad - we want to know what you think.

On to the good stuff. More changes! Beyond the bug fixes - we have continued adding visual pieces, making changes after the new navigation bar was launched, and looking ahead to installing new parts of yakimaherald.com.

The first couple of new puzzle pieces were:
The addition of the new footer (bottom of yakimaherald.com page in blue) includes our new small two-color logo as well as links to contact us and to subscribe to the Yakima Herald-Republic.
The second change was an updated above-the-header-bar! (The gray bar at the top of the page) It also contains our new two-color logo and updated navigation links. This gray bar will be used in almost all Yakima Herald-Republic Web products such as yakimablogs and playdate sites to begin with. The links in the bar may become more general over time because we want it to be a useful link between all yakimaherald.com associated Web sites.

I will post more on a few more features later!
